I am with jsloan. If one's flying business class all the time, status is not as important or necessary.

If 1k is really really that important, fly 4 really expensive UA flights, and you would be done for the year.

If I was flying J always, I would have status on all of the good airlines organically. I would still avoid United on international flying
GS? You're talking to a novice here so I don't know what that is. I just did some googling and Global Services? Sounds like a delivery company like DHL or UPS....

I'm only seeking top status to use F lounges (if any). It's a bit frustrating that most airplanes don't come with F seats anymore, and/or airlines don't operate F lounges anymore. I'm already spreading my C tickets to a few airlines, was just wondering how much more effort I needed to do to reach 1K.
