I will end the year around $75k PQD, so I'm not worried about requalifying (will be the 7th or 8th time).
However, I'm definitely flying less ... that spend is because my average transcon polaris ticket is up ~150% from recent history (5k vs. 2k). I wonder if they are recalibrating the still unknown threshold to reflect the increase in their pricing?
Anyway, good luck everyone!
In same boat - currently at $79k PQD, would be over $90k but UA stopped flying to TLV during last month and I had two trips EWR-TLV which I had to switch to LY (interestingly enough LY proactively reached out to match my UA GS status with their TP (Top Platinum). Have 2 or 3 more transatlantic flights this year so depending on schedule should wind up around $90-95k (last year was $85k). I definitely like the UA hardware more than LY (just not as comfortable) and LY flying out of Newark B is a nightmare....but on the service side LY provides a personal account manager for their TP (and mine was already able to get me a lower priced business ticket than I found on-line as well as get a 4th bag fee waived); they also (for some strange reason) offer to escort their TP members from the counter to the lounge which I found a little strange (I am a big boy and I can walk) but it did help cut waiting time down) - over all it feels (it has only been three flights) like LY top customers get more benefits than UA GS (and now LY and Delta have a strategic partnership...so it will be interesting to see what Delta level would equate to LY TP and/or UA GS))
