I am wondering if anybody knows the answer: Can I have my first name changed on my IB+ account? My (real) first name contains a diacritic. This used to be present on both my BAEC account and my IB+ account. Due to some issues crediting AA flights to my BAEC account, the BAEC team removed the diacritic and replaced it with a simple vowel (as in my passport MRZ). However, my IB+ still has the diacritic: can they change it to the simple vowel? How do I go about doing this?

The reason is that I may want to combine Avios, and if the two names aren't identical, I don't think it would work.

Alternatively, if I delete my IB+ account, can I create a new one using the same email address? (Obviously I would need to wait 90 days and earn 1 Avio before combining...)
