I moved to the UK a year ago with most of my travel to Asia and so my time on AC tickets has fallen down a cliff. Despite a high SQM, and a lot of money spent on flights this year, my SQD is almost half what it needs to be. I’m trying to find a way to re-qualify for SE this year without being significantly wasteful.

I don’t have any planned business or personal travel to North America the rest of the year, so any money I spend on AC from here is purely to requalify for SE…so I guess I also need to think about whether SE benefits vs. 75k have a higher value than the cost.

Back in the day, overseas residents only needed half of the regular SQD requirement—it’s too bad this was discontinued.

Are there any ways beyond paying a lot for a plane seat to get a lot of SQD at once? I’m aware of the 25% credit for AC vacations & the unlimited flight pass but nothing else…

Or am I just out of luck and need to earn it all the old fashioned way?
