TPA-ORD AA354 today at 6:45am was 0/16 seats up front last night, but around 10pm someone obviously cancelled so it was 1/16 and I was #1 on the waitlist.

I'm a lowly EXP (170K for the year) but got it 10 minutes before boarding opened.

Great flight. My favorite two FAs were on it.
