I knew it was their policy not that it was not official/allowed (like the HR Embankment apparently).
To their defence I have been upgraded to a suite for free on 5 of my 6 stays this year (4 of which into a premium suite)!
Out of topic and staying at the PHV this time but I will have dinner there tonight before going to the theatre just opposite at la Comédie française :-)
