Kiosks at AMS and automatic rerouting

Do they still have KLM kiosks at Schiphol? And are they switched on/working?
I am travelling MAN-AMS-NRT in about 10 days time, with 1hr transfer time. But the initial leg is on KL1072, which lately seems to be cancelled or running late quite often.
If I arrived late at AMS, I presume I can go to a kiosk to pick up boarding pass(es) for an automatic rerouting?
And if the initial leg was cancelled, would the check-in staff at MAN be any help?
I don't normally travel with a mobile phone or tablet. And it's best to travel light when staying at a hotel in Japan...
Maybe I should rethink things for this trip. Travelling in Business Light.
