Following my disappointing experience on my previous C flight (see post #355), on my most recent POZ-WAW-LHR round trip, I decided to experiment with LO's pre-paid meals in Y.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised with the meals and I feel it is a much better offering to the food served in SH C:

Apologies for forgetting to remove the lids for the pictures. Everything was full of flavour with very generous portions! both pieces of bread were soft and tasty. I also received the Putka berry bun and Grzeski chocolate wafer!

Seated on row 14 on the 737- MAX (emergency exit - no recline so suggest row 15 for recline), it felt such a "premium" experience for only 14 EUR!

Breakfast Meal

One of the best breakfast meals I ever had inside a plane. The mustard/horseradish sauce just worked incredibly well with the salmon! Good cheese selection (generous portion), cold meats (ham, prosciutto and krakowska). The fruit salad tasted so fresh that it felt as if the pineapple and melon were cut in the galley.

I was on row 4 (C curtain in front of me) and my meal arrived before the C service even started! and again I was provided with the putka/grzeski combo afterwards.

The pre-paid meals are served with the same cutlery/cloths as C, crockery I think it is the old style (LO's website display them on the new C crockery - could see the new crockery when the C service started). Hot drinks served in paper cups (as expected in Y).

Granted the pre-paid meals are cold but I don't always want/need a hot meal. Maybe because they are designed to be cold, they tasted fresher than the hot C meals.

Both meal experiences were far better than any previous C meals I had with LO and they were far better value for money IMHO.

Combine it with an emergency exit seat, and it is the best "C" Short-Haul experience you can get in the air with LO.
