I'd be surprised if they are paid at all for a declined application for obvious reasons... I'll see if I can have someone look up the exact compensation out of curiosity but I suspect most FA have no clue what they are being compensated. I remember i was shown the amount a few years ago and I was surprised at how low it was compared to affiliate links. It could very well be more than $20 but $70 seems high - albeit still quite a bit lower than affiliate.
