No they get way more than $20. My fiend is a FA. He doesn't know exactly, but he estimates, its $70 for a submitted and accepted application. and $35 for a submitted application, but application was denied by BoA. He doesn't know the exact amount, cause they are told they have X many applications where submitted, and they get a lump sum of money for those applications. He didn't tell me alot of details and I didn't want to over reach with my questions either.
I'd be surprised if they are paid at all for a declined application for obvious reasons... I'll see if I can have someone look up the exact compensation out of curiosity but I suspect most FA have no clue what they are being compensated. I remember i was shown the amount a few years ago and I was surprised at how low it was compared to affiliate links. It could very well be more than $20 but $70 seems high - albeit still quite a bit lower than affiliate.
