Years ago I was declined a THAI award on an NZ flight as the WLG-SYD sector was noted as being operated by ‘Zeal320’ (I think) and wasn’t *A and so THAI said they couldn’t book it. ‘Zeal320’ was the AirNZ wholly owned subsidiary holding company name for Freedom Air and NZ’s TT 320 operation. Someone will remember.
From ExpertFlyer at a random date in December:
Good point but there are multiple flights a day operated by Swiss too that we can get rescheduled to. The responsibility (in my opinion) lies with Swiss, even though I might have originally been booked on a subsidiary carrier. It's annoying because Air NZ isn't even wanting to help out
