Four Points by Sheraton Taipei Bali | Marriott Bonvoy
Couldn't find a thread for this new hotel, so thought I start one.
I had a one night award stay here this week. This is my first time here. Overall I like the hotel with good design, very good service, and excellent breakfast spread. I believe the hotel was opened about 6 months ago. The location is rather inconvenient, across the river from Tamsui and really lacking any significant public transportation (I think there is a R22 express bus to/from a MTR station but not sure how often that runs). So you will need to have a car to get around. The hotel overall has a resort vibe with a nice pool and relaxed atmosphere. I did not get an upgrade from my award booking and the check in staff was apologetic for not upgrading as the hotel was fully booked (and looked that way as well). My room was the lowest class available, but does have a private semi-outdoor hot spring onsen, which was very nice (though the view is very challenged). I chose breakfast as my welcome amenity and the spread did not disappoint. I think the breakfast is competitive with other 5-star hotel breakfast in Taipei.
Overall this is definitely a high-end hotel with good amenities and service with location being the only downside. Currently the award booking rate and cash rate is among the lowest in Taipei, just above Aloft Beitou and significantly below other Marriott hotels, but offering hardware/software significantly above Aloft Beitou and more inline with a modern Sheraton or Marriott. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
I didn't take any photo here but the pictures on the hotel's website is pretty representative of the property.
