Did this change? It has been some years (5-7), but I have 100% booked child fares (2-11 years of age) on international DL flights. It was 25% off the base fare (not taxes and fees) for an adult (and if i recall up to 2 kid fares per traveling adult), and only applied to coach tickets, not biz fares. Also seems weird that DL and KL would have different rules about this on a JV route.

However, in case OP found out after already booking, there is zero chance the discount will be retroactively applied. Cancel and rebook is the only option.
