Location The hotel is located right by the Red Sea and is about 10-15min cab raide from the HRG airport. it's a bit of a rip off as they tried to charge me EUR 20 to get there. I ended up paying EGP 500.... There's not much around the hotel. I only stayed for a night, before moving on to a boat in Marsa Alam (dive trip). It's an easy transit hotel with pool and direct sea access. I paid $145.72 including all taxes. It's a rate that included breakfast. Check In Check-in was smooth and efficient. I provided my credit card number for incidentals. The FO asked me whether I wanted to pay the room now and not leave my credit card for guarantee (which I found surprising). But since I knew I had to order room service, I decided to leave the card as guarantee. Service was friendly. Room As a Liftetime Gold, I was upgraded the day before arrival to a Deluxe King Sea View. My original booking was a standard King Sea View. I did the OLCI on the app and could see the upgrade the day before my arrival and it remained until I was phyiscally there. The room is big but "empty", you could almost hear an echo

Decoration was close to zero. Big TV, with all the power outlets underneath it on the buffet. No power outlets by the bed, which is annoying but kinda exptected for this kind of "old" hotels. The was some fresh fruits provided on a plate upon arrival as welcome amenity. The bed was big, a bit hard but comfortable. A small table with 2 chairs where you could eat and maybe work if needed. No desk. There was another chair by the window. There is a big balcony facing the sea with views on the, I believe, what used to be a Sheraton hotel. The circular building on the picture. The AC was quite loud and annoying though. Bathroom Bathroom was big with a sort of make-up room first, where you had a sink with mirror, followed by the toilet and bathroom in the back, again with a sink and mirror. Dining I ordered room service as I arrived at 10PM that day. It was quick and it was good and cheap. Chicken kebab for EUR 6 equivalent more or less. Served with breads (way too big of a serving). Pool The swimming pool is quite nice, not too big, not too small but the hotel occupancy was not that high so i cannot imagine the crowd during high season... They probably bring out more sun loungers then. Plenty of staff around for security, lifeguard, activities, pool towels (you get a special card when you check-in, to exchange for a pool towel). People seemed to be enjoying themselves but it was not at all my cup of tea

Beach A bit further down from the pool, you had access to the sandy beach, and some kind of "island" with a bar in the middle. You can borrow snorkels and fins I think. I saw some people doing it but there's not much to see. Breakfast Breakfast was good and there are plenty of choices with a cooking station for omelets and other egg dishes. Soups, fruits, breads, local food that was delicious and fresh dates. It's worth paying for the breakfast if it's not included in your rate. Overall Overall it was a good and comfortable stay. I'd probably use this property again if I had to transit with enough time to enjoy the pool and beach.
