Thanks very much. My brother is flying home on CX from the USA to Australia and since I was the one that recommended the cheap CX tickets over the expensive QF, AC and UA ones if anything goes wrong, of course it will be all my fault. I have been caught out by the larger plug before, so now I can tell him to get a 1/4" adapter.
