The phone is not selling well, and there is plenty of supply back here, but seems odd that all of the stores in the Tokyo area are sold out of a phone that isn't even that popular.
The pro max is not what I would call “unpopular” and has also been in tighter supply generally due to the periscope hardware. Wouldn’t surprise me if the US is getting greater stock than other countries - especially with the pro max size not being as Japanese-hand-size-friendly. I don’t see too many around other than my own.
