Yes, and not only that, but if you dismiss the notification, it sends you a new one in a few minutes. Very annoying. A less draconian workaround than turning off all UA Appy notifications is to set the UA App "Ongoing trip notifications" to "silent", and then select "minimize". This prevents a pop-up notification, prevents a UA App notification from appearing in the notification tray next to the time, and banishes the notification to the silent section of the notification tray.
