My 2nd stay at the Park Hyatt Toronto has definitely maintained my positive feelings towards this property - despite a couple of small issues - here are the details:
  • Upgraded without SUA the morning of arrival to a Deluxe Corner Suite High Floor (premium suite) - the main difference from my Corner Suite last year was the presence of a wetbar area
  • Furnishings and design are warm, comfortable, and sophisticated - I love the large desk
  • Bed is very comfortable and definitely better than some of the other PHs I have tried - plush mattress, plush pillows, decently plush covers
  • Shower pressure from the wand was decent
  • As posted previously, the staff prepared a very nice chocolate cake for my birthday
  • Small issue of empty food jars and bottles in the cabinet under the wetbar sink was met with a personal visit from the Housekeeping leader as well as an apology email the next morning (I kept telling them not to worry) - a far better response for a small issue compared to some other properties
  • Globalist breakfast at Joni remains a favourite - despite one entree not being the best
    • I did not really like the Park Benedict - while not listed on the menu, there were onions between the Canadian bacon and English muffin - I don’t like onions
    • On the other hand, the crème brûlée French toast is truly amazing and delicious
    • Service at Joni was very friendly
  • No issue with late checkout

I will definitely return here - I’ll just avoid the Benedict.
