Interesting thread. I recently flew five Alaska sectors in Y, booked a few weeks after dropping from BA Silver to Bronze and travelling a further 4-5 weeks later. Each mobile boarding pass said I was Oneworld Sapphire and on board I was thanked for my status and comped several free beers. Strangely though I couldn't select seats for free when booking so clearly that part of the system was correct.
