I think it depends on which benefits you value. 4pm checkout under Hilton is not strictly a guarantee, nor are suite upgrades explicitly listed as eligible, and the domestic breakfast benefit is now just a F&B credit, but I'm sure outside of the USA things are probably a lot better as with any status.
As a Lifetime HHonors Diamond and a Lifetime Bonvoy Titanium, I can say with certainty that the Hilton benefits are FAR WORSE than the ones provided by Marriott to their elites.
Except for perhaps Europe and Asia, the Hilton breakfast benefit is a joke! The US Hilton lounges are meh, whereas some US Marriott brands lounges are acceptable and the Marriott brands lounges in Europe and Asia are better than those from Hilton, and both are not as good as Hyatt.
And let's not even discuss the 4PM check out which is a joke with Hilton while a guaranteed benefit with both Hyatt and Marriott.
