Saw a guy complained on Marriott insider's page. He said that he was in TK C and saw the stopover thing in the IFE, so when he got to IST he changed his ticket so that he could use the stopover hotel. Then when he got to the hotel desk and asked to be put into a Renaissance or Sheraton hotel and he got a rejection from the staff. Then he went to the page claimed TK bait and switch and lying about the stopover hotel etc. providing screenshots showing logos of Renaissance or Sheraton.

I explained to him that he can't just change his ticket and run to the hotel desk and expect them to give him free hotel just like that. It states very clearly that you have to book it at least 48h in advance.
