The second point in your proposal certainly falls within that uniquely self-interested criteria, and would be unprecedented within the travel industry.

Also, it would be too complex for Marriott information technology (IT) systems.

Restoring new qualifications for lifetime Marriott BONV°Y Titanium Elite status, that were abruptly halted on Monday, 31 December 2018, would go far in restoring the program to its former glory during the MarriottRewards era -- even with the significant increase from 750 to 1,000 nights required.

Of the three hotel programs that currently offer lifetime status qualification -- Marriott Platinum, Hilton Diamond, and Hyatt Globalist -- it is indisputable that Marriott's offering is by far the worst.

Yes, I would personally benefit from being permitted, once again, to strive for lifetime Titanium.
All valid points, I admit. :-)

As someone who spent almost 25 years with Marriott and staying well over 100 nights each of those years, I feel like I truly earned the LTT. I wouldn’t want to see it handed out so readily or easily.

my apologies if my thinking goes against the grain. It’s not that I don’t want more kids in my clubhouse; I just want the kids that earned it the same way I did
Okay, that's more reasonable, a.k.a. an extra year for every 4-5 years as an AMB.

I'll be close.
