Yes.
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked cheapest advance rate, and received a queen standard on high floor (I received an email before my stay saying that junior suites are not renovated yet).
How are the rooms?
Nicely renovated but compact: around 21sqm large.

No kettle, no Nespresso machine. Empty minibar

What was good and what was bad?
GOOD- Great staff: smiling and very attentive
- Nicely renovated rooms
- Quite convenient location, in a leafy residential still central district, 2 minutes walk from Sainz de Baranda metro station, and 11 minutes walk to Retiro central park, 30 minutes walk to the Prado Museum).
- Very good breakfast, with à la carte eggs station, freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious pastries.
- Very pleasant and large garden.
BAD- Nothing (even if Nespresso machine would be more than welcome in rooms).
Value for $ or IHG One Rewards Points? Would you return?
Yes.
Pleasant and cosy hotel.
The hotel is adjacent to the voco hotel, connected by a corridor to the meeting rooms and the garden.
Please note that the hotel is currently sold under Madrid - Centre Retiro hotel, before becoming a Crowne Plaza. Renovation is planned to be completed mid-December.
