I have a somewhat funny story regarding this topic. Was an a small ship cruise (Ponant) between Honolulu and Japan the year before COVID. 3 Japanese couples boarded in Honolulu for the voyage presumably to home (no stops). For 12 uninterrupted days, they were revelling in and feasting on the French food (even though the galley lost both the chef and sous chef) and drinks, especially the cheeses.
