Two of us will be flying SAN-NRT on a 788. Matching Expert Flyer’s seat map to aero lopa’s, it appears to be an E12 configuration. Is there a best row? I’m thinking of going for a row 1 aisle/window pair to hopefully be cooler (guessing it’s coolest at the exit/galley). Would 1AC be a good choice? Or would traffic to/from the lav be an issue? Similarly for 1HK, would galley noise/light be an issue?
I have flown both row 1 and row 2 window sides on 788 (E12 = SKY SUITE) several times. Both are very nice, but I prefer row 2 over row 1 for better alignment of the windows to the seat. I would also stay away from the sunny side of the plane since the electric shade of 787 isn't great. I haven't had any galley light/noise problem with either row.
