you cannot do a roundtrip into PVG without visa, you can nest certain locations with easy miles and points access. CI has cheap and widely available TPE/TSA-NGB/HGH/SHA/PVG which are in the same zone for 144hr TWOV, also you can try OKA, these are as close as possible, then further out you have Chinese LCC like Spring Airlines to various Japanese small airports, PUS/ICN/CJU on Korean LCC. OW has CX for SHA/PVG-HKG, and you can also try MFM which is a nice day trip.
