JAL does not have any spare HND slots, so any possible flights would necessarily be from Narita. It has been rumoured many times, but now Delta's PDX route is officially closing down, it will be interesting to see if JAL or ANA picks it up. I don't think so though.
Not good news for the pending 610-room Toyoko Inn in Portland. Or for Oregon—Japan business and tourism. I guess Covid did longer-lasting damage than we thought.
