Staying here now. Property is very old but well maintained. Service is abysmal, FD couldn't be less helpful if they tried. The rooms are very large and fully equipped and do great with long term stays assuming you don't mind the age of the place.

Windows are single pane and road and pool noise is easily heard - so light sleepers stay away.
Housekeeping is non-existent - they refused to clean our room unless we are staying 7 days or longer. Yup, an outright refusal (and after checking with the FD & housekeeping manager this is hotel policy - it's 7 days or bust here). They offered to come pick up the trash and that is all. Further, the room wasn't even clean on arrival (hair everywhere including both sinks and the bathtub). Disgusting.
The gym has no bench and the sit up ball is deflated plus they can't be bothered to keep the water full.
There are no safes in the room (and TripAdvisor shows some reviews who claim thefts have occurred).
The shower has one of the worst shower heads I've ever used.

As you know Globalist means nothing here... so forget asking for anything special at all (not even a late checkout until possibly given the AM of your stay). Truly a tough place to stay - but it's hard to beat the lovely size of the rooms & full kitchen
