Comments: Booked this stay on points in Dec 2022 when the cash rate of the room was $2,138. The cash rate of the room I booked rose to $5,200 the week prior to our stay. I don't have pricing points for the 2 room suite we stayed in as it was not bookable on the website the week before our stay. We were upgraded from the base King room to the King, 2 room suite 5 days prior to arrival, without using SNA's or reaching out to my Ambassador or the hotel for any complimentary upgrades.

The hotel is undergoing a major renovation, that is not expected to be completed until Jan/Feb 2024. We were booked into a 10th floor, corner suite that was a newly remodeled room. The room size was great, and the renovations are very nice and give the hotel a much more modern feel. Make no mistake, ANYWHERE you are in the hotel (or even outside the hotel), you will hear the renovation noise during the day from about 7:30am - 5:00pm. We were in town for the NASCAR Championship weekend, so were away from the hotel most days, but were woken up by the construction noise each morning. Personally, I'm not going to ding the hotel for the construction noise as I feel it's great to see an ownership group investing money in their properties. No, I did not know the hotel was going to be under renovation when I booked it, but I did receive an email about a week prior to arrival that talked about it - which technically gave me an opportunity to book elsewhere, although it would have been at a higher points cost.
