On a serious note, I avoid international to domestic transfers in SYD, it's awful. The planes may use the same runways but for all intents and purposes the international and domestic terminals are two separate airports. BNE is a tad better, MEL is best. Don't know how many of UA's connecting customers are aware of this, however.
I used to fly weekly between SYD and MEL. It is not a long flight to SYD and the train does stop at the domestic terminal. Must remember this for my next trip to Oz. Would not do this leaving Oz as the domestic terminal is horrible for lines

My father spent the better part of a decade in BNE, so perhaps this Crow's Nest, N.S.W. native shall visit some day.
Ha! My bad - yes noted in an edit. I grew up in Turramurra, Killara, Chatswood and the last few years living in Oz lived in Oyster bay. Actually worked in Crows Nest after finishing high school and before starting my full time job. Always wondered why it was called Crows Nest.

Oh! Well that makes sense for the number of flights for the original flights. There does seem to be more business coming out of QLD these days - not just tourism.

I have tried to get onto that flight a number of times since it is such a long flight and enjoy those for getting away from the maddening crowd but the pricing is ridiculous. High prices = low demand = decreased number of flights.
