oh well that blows that idea out the water, guess i'll just book the car+flight and nestle a ryan air flight back to STN for the next day as its closer to home.
So i'll be doing LHR-SOF then overnight at the Ibis with a reward night from hotels.com ,next day Ryanair SOF-STN then 4 days later STN-SOF first thing in the morning have a little time at the airport before flying back SOF-LHR.
i guess 320 tier ponts for a total of 412 pounds (both flights and 5 days car hire ) is not bad and that will leave me 460 points short for gold.
