Origially came on to this thread to just ask why is there absolutely no J availability on any CX flight using AA miles? Have a more specific question though which I've never seen before. I keep trying to buy a CX trip (in Y of course since no J or F) and it will not ticket. Its not a phantom or any fare glitch. Agents booked it right away with ease. Tried on the app as well as on 2 different browsers on my lap top.
And then actually another issue is the agent booked me on the wrong day. Never had this happen. Said 26th but she did 28th. No huge deal but went to cancel it online and it wont let me. Big alert came up to call American. For the most part always been able to cancel online. I realize miles redeposit often requires a call in but just wondering why it wouldnt let me cancel and is this related to the above issue of not even being able to ticket the reservation?
There is an ongoing aa.com glitch over the past several months whereby you can't actually ticket certain partner awards online. You click through, get to the last page, enter your card details, etc., click purchase, and it just spins and spins and then reverts you back to the purchase page.
For whatever the reason it works fine to just put the award on hold, and when you call AA an agent can ticket it with no problem.
I've had 3 or 4 partner awards with AA/BA over the last few feeks and this has happened every single time.
