Question on HNL interlining with 2 Delta one-ways. Do you think if I land in HNL and depart on the same plane Delta can manage the interlining of my checked-in suitcase back to the mainland? Considering the bureaucratic Hawaiian rule of “agriculture inspection” for departing passengers.

My preferred but more risky choice is to switch to another Delta flight with 1hr 20 minutes connection time. The flight back will be booked with Skymiles, so easy to cancel if my incoming flight is late
