I can fully related to your child here - airline flushes are otherworldly to sane people. It will however difficult to feed this request to a reservation system.

It is far safer if you study the seatmap and pick the ideal seats and pay the fee that comes with it. Then you call and annotate the condition of your child and that it is imperative to keep equivalent seating.
