2 and 3 have happened a combined 3 times in over 1200 flights.
It seems very plausible that you differ from the person we're describing in at least these ways:
1. you fly tons so probably have a routine sorted, especially compared to someone boarding Y late enough that they have no at seat bin space, e.g. do you ever forget you'll need your charger or decide halfway through a flight you want your iPad after all? (it seems not)
2. you're flying J and zone 1, which often involves a more leisurely boarding routine, so more time to figure out/organise what one needs at hand and what can be stowed for the whole trip
3. you're flying J, which often involves more at seat storage, so more room for things you need or might want
4. you're flying J, so don't need one of those dumb neck things or to fetch a toothbrush etc.
