Boeing puts X number of Packs on each type. Its up to the airline how many they run, and it is a requirement that atleast 2 be servicable before a flight on the B747. Zones are numbered 1 to 4 on the main deck. Upper deck in zone 5.

It displays current temperature, and FA control the temperature with it.
