More likely the control software was having an off day. I overheard the crew on my return from GRU last weekend apologising that no matter what she set the controls at, the A/C wouldnt respond. The temperature was a pleasant cool though so I didn't complain!... although the same software refused to turn off the cabin lights above my seat no matter how many times they reset it which was a nuisance on a redeye. Still, couldn't sleep anyway becuase of the damn A/C noise.
