It’s hard for me to picture a world where DL grows its TPAC network out of SEA. It was already closing some markets (HKG, KIX, FUK) well before COVID. SEA must stand on its own without being a true TPAC hub for DL. It remains to be seen if that will happen. From what I can tell, it seems that DL has all but given up on trying to be a major player in the TPAC region. They can get you to PVG and HND but if you want to go anywhere else, you get handed off to their partner in ICN which, as other posters have mentioned, involves a double connect for a large chunk of Asia bound customers. No airline can be all things to all people, of course, but it has been disappointing to see DL all but abandon Asia especially after inheriting such a robust network from NW. If Asia demand rebounds significantly, I imagine DL will try to get back into the game but by then it might be too late with UA already being well-established in the region.
