My wife and I have a return itinerary flying MLE-DOH-IAD/DCA-GRR (yikes) in March in Business Class with QR, and my final leg (DCA-GRR) on AA got cancelled and rebooked for a flight >8 hrs later. So, now my arrival time is 11:59pm instead of 3:36pm. Obviously there is no award availability with Qatar for Business class on other routes this close to March. I spent a few hours on the phone talking to reps and supervisors with little success finding an alternative. Do I have any shot at fixing this? The only options he gave me were changes on that DCA-GRR leg that either did not meet MCT for IAD/DCA or still got us arriving beyond the change limits.
