Can one bring it on an AA flight (SFO-DFW-MSY), either fresh (although hopefully on ice) or frozen?
The problem would be the ice. Wet you have to make sure it isn't melted, else it falls under the liquids requirements. Dry you have to be less than what is posted above. Flying back from Cabo we always deep freeze our fish and put in a cooler in cargo. Never an issue. Maybe the reusable ice packs would be best.

Would it be easier to buy said bird in NOLA after you land or is it a special free range organic heritage bird only available in the Bay Area?
