I know they rebook you for a flight tomorrow, then give you a hotel voucher, and they somehow give you transportation to a nearby Denver airport? But with 100+ people all missing their connections, I imagine the UA ticket counter is gonna be a madhouse once people deboard in Denver.
Been flying for 40 years, but I am a beginner when it comes to a mechanical missed connection and hotel vouchers. Thanks for any guidance
Last November my flight from LHR got delayed five hours with an MX so I missed my connection at SFO and had to spend the night. I got the text with the hotel reservation and meal vouchers when I landed. Very smooth. In March of this year I had an identical situation, same route. I got no text or anything. I made my own reservation at SFO without stopping at customer service. United would only pay me $200 out of the $250 as they said that's as high as they could go. I did well on the future flight credits so I left it at that.
