Your post is a bit confusing as we are talking about J not Y. KL Economy comfort is a Y product
Some European airlines, including BA, add a couple of inches of legroom in the first rows of their narrow-body cabins, but that is still nothing to compare with J seats in Asia, even the mediocre CX regional J seta.

PS:You are right that TAP and KLM sell as extra or comfort Y those seats in the front of the plane if there is insufficient J demand.
