I want to book an award there next November and use a 2for1 that expires today. I thought I'd book the award for March and when availability opens up, change the flights November. Obviously BKK is an alternative but avoiding an extra self-connect is worth some hassle beforehand.
Just remember that if you book it today, you cannot postpone it past 8 Nov 2024 (ticket validity period is one year). Just learned this the hard way…
