Answering to myself, as nobody commented so far.

Apparently, award flight mileage accrual is NOT a thing with LA: I casually checked my account last night and the posted miles have been removed again after sitting there for three days or so…

This just happened after bragging about it here. Honi soit qui mal y pense.
