It doesn't matter who you buy the ticket from. If the flight is marketed and operated by a OW carrier (possibly different carriers) it will earn according to the marketing carrier's chart.

If you have a mix of AA and non-AA marketed flights, that will require prorating the fare to determine the "fare" of the AA marketed segments. If it's a single fare this will be probably be done by distance, but if it's constructed then you need to split by fare components.

If this is important to you, you will need to see the fare construction on the eticket. If AY doesn't make this easy, you can try pricing it out on matrix.
