This is a direct us to Europe flight on AA metal for 1 person so isnt the complex routing that can lead to portal drama. But while I plan on travelling without changes , I also don't want to lose $2k of value of something happens unexpectedly.
After a portal booking on AA, can any aspect of that flight be managed from the AA app, like it can with Delta? If a change or cancellation is made,.is an AA flight credit received or is it stuck with Chase travel? Can the credit be used like a normal AA credit? Again this isnt a speculative booking, but nor do I want to risk forefeiting 2k
I had exactly the same situation. I had to cancel a flight to one destination, and then a few days later rebooked to a different destination. I was unable to do this online through Chase and had to call them to do it. I briefly saw the credit show up on AA site and then when I went to look for it I couldn't find it. Ultimately there was no issue rebooking to my new flight, and yes, Chase did say that any unused value was forfeited.
