The surcharge is in fact listed on the receipt (and there was a prompt on the PIN pad to approve the surcharge after I tapped), so does that mean their implementation is technically compliant? Or the fact that I didn't see any other signage in the restaurant still a violation of the rules? (I thought the latter was true originally but now I'm not sure.)

EDIT: submitted anyway and just specified that there was no signage other than on the PIN pad after tapping, so we'll see how it goes. I may not be back in the area until this time next year to see if that complaint did anything, but perhaps someone else who ends up in LA can comment if anything does change.
