Austrian & Eurowings suspend flights to Erbil until 6 November

In view of the current situation in Iraq, Eurowings has decided to cancel its flights EW9978/EW9979 to Erbil and back, which were postponed from today, Saturday, to Monday, November 6, as a precautionary measure. Austrian Airlines is also canceling its flights scheduled up to and including Monday, November 6.

Lufthansa Group Security is in close contact with the national and international authorities in order to get a precise picture of the situation on the ground and to assess it. A decision on how to proceed will be made on Monday.

The safety of its passengers and employees is a top priority for Eurowings at all times.
