I was surprised to see that a recent flight booked with miles actually accrued new miles, whereas another flight I took with miles in August didn‘t (actually, for some time now, award flights usually do no longer post on your account).

Has there been a change in policy that I am not aware of (I know that some other airlines like UA now allow mileage accrual on award flights) or have I just benefitted from LA‘s faulty IT?
