Chrome is a totally different browser app than safari. You would download it to your iPad separately. I tend to use my desktop as much as possible for ordering so I can't speak to the success rate of iPad ordering in general, but in a pinch I would absolutely order from my iPad using Chrome (download & install before leaving for your trip or wherever you won't have your computer, and make sure you can connect to the Internet OK, I'm sure you can). Chrome does accept cookies. That's not an issue.
