I've been to several small claims trials as a litigant on behalf of a corporation. Small claims court is nothing like Judge Judy, The People's Court, etc. It's basically a civil proceeding but with different rules to streamline some processes. It's still quite formal and nothing like what many think it will be based on what we see on TV.
But...but...some random anonymous person on the internet said it's like that so it must be true! *eye roll*
